I saw that I could make a change across the world, but first God wanted me to make a difference in my school.

Today the Lord spoke to me:
You’re barren so my power can be shown through you.

I’m reminded of the battle that I faced: the battle that was won with a lot of prayer and perseverance.

That’s exactly what Jesus Christ did.
He heard the cries of my loved ones and came to me in my coma. He forgave me from years of false religion and dark sins.

Acceptance is the greatest word in the world.
I accept that Jesus died on the cross.
I accept that He rose from the tomb.

…but I never intentionally asked Jesus to baptize me in the Holy Spirit and empower me to live out my life as a new creation.

I see that He has been in my corner all this time.
He has been waiting for me to stop fighting to let go.

I was walking in the first part of John 10:10.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.

After years of working and trying and striving, He set me free in my surrender.

I was so bruised, beaten, and battered; I had to turn over and surrender to fully receive His grace.

God gave 18-year-old me the purpose that 26 year-old me would need to keep fighting.

God’s love brought me to repentance.
I gave my life to Jesus right there at my desk.

He walked me to a miracle in my marriage, then He walked me through an unanswered prayer. 

And that’s what worship is: serving and honoring God wherever you are.

He made a way when it looked like a dead end.
He revived us when we had drowned.
He rose again when he was dead.
He brought us back to life.

God didn’t put me in those painful moments,
but He promises to pursue and rescue me.

So, here is my story.
The one where God wins.
The one where I overcome.

God didn’t want me to walk through all of that pain, but He used it.
